Announcing Launch of Engstrom Lee

September 12, 2022 - (Minneapolis, MN) Carl Engstrom, Jennifer Lee, Brandon McDonough, Nicholas Thompson, and Mark Thomson proudly announce the launch of Engstrom Lee McDonough Thompson & Thomson LLC, a plaintiffs class-action firm that focuses on retirement, employment, and consumer law. The firm will be known as Engstrom Lee. 

Until recently, Engstrom, Lee, McDonough, and Thomson were attorneys in the Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) practice group at Nichols Kaster, which had recovered more than $300MM for its clients since Engstrom founded the practice in 2015.  

“When I started the ERISA practice at Nichols Kaster, I wanted to utilize my finance background and legal training to highlight 401(k) plan mismanagement and restore retirement benefits to workers protected by ERISA. I am excited to continue this mission at Engstrom Lee. I am also thrilled to broaden our focus to include more workers and more benefits, and to rectify more types of corporate wrongdoing,” said Engstrom. 

By partnering with Thompson, a successful trial lawyer who specializes in representing railroad workers in discrimination, Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA), and class-action matters, Engstrom Lee will be able to advocate for a new group of clients across a range of employee rights issues and utilize Thompson’s skills in the group’s retirement and benefits matters.
