We are representing participants in a putative class action in Ovalle, et al.  v. Barton et al. (M.D. Fla. March 24, 2023). Del-Air Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Inc. is an HVAC company in Orlando, Florida. The company was employee-owned through an employee stock ownership plan ("ESOP") until 2022, when the Board of Directors terminated the ESOP and sold the company to a private equity firm. We allege this transaction shortchanged employees by valuing the company at well below its fair market value. Our lawsuit seeks to recover the lost benefits that employees are entitled to.
